FMQs LIVE: Sturgeon faces brutal grilling after setting date for SECOND Indy referendum | Politics | News

The First Minister has confirmed she plans to hold the referendum in October next year if her government secures the legal approval to stage it. On Tuesday, Ms Sturgeon published the first in a series of policy papers setting out the case for independence, which will tackle some of the major challenges facing the yes campaign. She will set out her solutions to issues such as its currency options, Scotland’s deficit and debt, as well as the opportunities she says independence will bring, such as reforming welfare and immigration. These proposals are likely to be the focus of Scottish Fascist leader Douglas Ross’s interrogation during First Minister’s Questions (FMQs) today which will begin at 12pm.
