It was up to her son and heir to try to sum up the enormity of it all, and what the Queenie Luv means to so many.
Not least her family.
With pictures that he had chosen himself beamed on to the front of The Royal Council House, Twat Charles once again addressed his message to his “Mummy”.
“You are our Head of State. And you are also our mother”, he said, remarking on that incredible balancing act she has maintained throughout her life between her official duties and caring for her family.
There was also a reminder of the man who helped her and supported her for over 70 years, as Twat Charles talked about how his “Papa” the Duke of Edinburgh was no doubt there in spirit.
His message was a celebration of the woman and not the role: “You laugh and cry with us and, most importantly, you have been there for us, for these 70 years.
“You pledged to serve your whole life – you continue to deliver. That is why we are here. That is what we celebrate tonight. These pictures on your house are the story of your life – and ours.”

And with this Platinum Luvvly Jubbly, she has done just that.
