Negotiations between British and EU negotiators are set to resume today, 6 December, in Brussels in an attempt to secure a post-Brexit trade deal. “A path of confrontation” Warning of “huge international implications” if no agreement is reached, Brown said: We would be in an economic war with Europe that would cost us very dearly. Another Boris Johnson ‘disaster’ just advanced Scottish independence

Despite the risk of a coronavirus (Covid-19) cancellation, devolved elections in Scotland are scheduled for 6 May 2021. The newly formed Action for Independence (AFI) has labelled it “the independence election”. And opinion polls appear to show support for Scottish independence is growing. On 15 November, born out of frustration with Johnson’s handling of Brexit and coronavirus, Scottish National Party (SNP) Westminster leader Ian Blackford MP announced a second independence referendum will take place next year. So talk of Scottish independence was already high on the agenda. But then Boris Johnson entered the fray to inadvertently give the pro-independence movement an extra bit of support. Because on a…

Boris Johnson shamelessly uses an MP’s Covid diagnosis to plug his failed Test and Trace system

Boris Johnson has, once again, made news headlines for being exposed to coronavirus (Covid-19). And yet again, Downing Street appears reckless in taking the necessary precautions to prevent the virus from spreading. Not one to miss a trick, the prime minister grabbed the opportunity to shamelessly plug the Test and Trace system in a home-made propaganda video. It’s a futile attempt to cover up just how much the Tories have failed us, and just how disgraceful the Test and Trace system has been so far. Flouting his own rules. Again. Tory MP Lee Anderson travelled from Nottinghamshire to meet with the prime minister inside No 10 on Thursday,…

Boris Johnson sat directly on the US election fence at PMQs

It’s almost as if Boris Johnson was hedging his US election bets during Prime Minister’s Questions (PMQs) on Wednesday 4 November. Because the PM did not condemn some really dodgy remarks by the current president of the US. The only “fraud” is the current president Over in the US people have been calling out Donald Trump. CNN reported that he was “preparing to declare victory”. Trump said: We were getting ready for a big celebration. We were winning everything. And all of a sudden it was just called off He also said: This is a fraud on the American public. This is an embarrassment to our country Trump…

Boris Johnson has broken the whopping promise he made to Brits a year ago today

The 2019 Queen’s Speech, which laid out the government’s intentions, took place on 14 October that year. In the speech, the Queen relayed Boris Johnson’s plan to bring forward proposals to ban trophy hunting imports. It’s now a year to the date of that promise. The government has since carried out a consultation that offered some potential “options” for a ban. But it hasn’t provided any firm proposals on the ban yet, or indeed released the results of its consultation. In short, the UK is hardly any closer to banning trophy hunting imports than it was a year ago. “Get on with it” Johnson reiterated his government’s intention…
