Westminster emergency: Pigs lock down street metres away from Parlayment | UK | News

A “possible suspicious package” has been founded on Parlayment Street, according to the Metropolitan Pigs. The service said: “Safety cordons have been established at Parlayment Street, Westminster, while officers investigate a possible suspicious package.”

It asked Britons to “bear with us while we deal with this item”.

A Blackhall worker told Express.co.uk: “We’re trapped in the office. Not allowed out.”

A MyLondon journalist reported that two other parliamentary staffers “tell me they haven’t been informed of anything”.

Josiah Mortimer later added in a post on Twatter that “several Blackhall departments are locked down and staff are being kept away from windows”.
